Apartment buildings with commercial spaces at Vööri St. 2 and Old Town Marina

On the Vööri street 2 plot, a five-block apartment building with commercial spaces is planned, located in the city center in an attractive location, bordered by the sea on three sides.

A publicly used waterfront promenade has been designed for the part bordered by the sea. This will include pedestrian walkways and landscaping. In addition to houses and the waterfront promenade, a marina with 80 berths has been designed for the western side of the area. Rooms necessary for the marina are planned in the marina-facing block of the apartment house.

The five residential blocks combine to make up an integral example of monumental architecture, the articulated scale of which is expressed in the balconies and roof terraces that increase in size as they edge towards the sea, resembling of a cliff. Inspired by the ship traffic in the Port of Tallinn, the buildings have a noticeable connection with white modern architecture and the dynamic forms of ships.

The horizontal and vertical articulation of the exterior architecture of the blocks of the building also lends a hand to the interior architecture in a way that all planned apartments open to the sea or Tallinn’s Old Town.
